We can use dye on it, style it, shave it off or cover it with a hat. In order to provide an opportunity for self-expression, hair scalp really does have positive effects. Hair is a specialized type of skin. The hair on scalp provides protection and maintains homeostasis. Hair also helps to filter out debris and contamination, like nasal hair, and protects from sun and wind such as eyelashes.

Hair Grooming

Your hair reflects your overall grooming. The sebum, that keep your skin moist also accumulate on your scalp hair. If your sebaceous glands produce large quantity of oil, it can give your hair oily or stringy look, so you may need to wash your hair daily. But if your body does not produce much sebum and your have fine and thin hair, less shampooing is better for your hair and scalp.

Some hair products contain toxic chemicals that can cause allergies. This is mostly seen with the products that change the hair, like perms, relaxers and hair dyes. These products can contain lye, acid, coal tar, and other ingredients that can sting, burn, discolor, cause hair loss and blister your scalp. If you want to use these products, read precautions on the label carefully and thoroughly wash out all the chemicals after use.
