A new research has found the children, who were born before time, facing persistent problems in the later life.

The researchers have reported various children with the age of 12, who were born too early with a very low weight at the time of birth, have faced more problems regarding developmental changes and IQ as compared to the children with same age but who were born at time.

One of the researcher said, the smash up was worse in the babies who had bleeding in the brain at the time of birth. And such preterm children demonstrated more behavioral problems than the children had been born normally.

The scientists compared the results of children who were born preterm with those had “control” full-term birth. Language skills and IQ test to measure the basic capability of these qualities showed poorer results of premature children than it was required.

Although the affects of preterm birth demonstrated the same trends over time, there is no difference in neuropsychological skills between the premature and control children, the scientists added. Stress was laid by the researcher on the prevention of serious brain injury in preterm infants.
