It is important that parents know how to control and manage their teens in order to cut teen crash risk. The highest number of car crashes is made by teenagers or young adults who lead uncontrollable speed or drunk driving in an indulgent fashion. Parenting style and way of control as well as maintaining of deadlines and decorum for teens are a must in order to determine how they behave. Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg states that there are many adolescents and teens, all well into working it fine and responsibly within their given set of rules. But then there are those who still run the risk of crashing due to misguidance as well as less practice.

Teenagers must be allowed to do a lot of practice before taking the seat behind the wheels. They must know how to acknowledge driving safely. Ginsburg has led several studies which can support safe driving facilities as well as statistics on the kind of conditions through which teenagers tend to crash or not crash.

The Pediatrics magazine, with its September issue determined that most teenagers crashed because they had less experience with practice. Proper and vigilant practice would surely make them more advanced and less jittery, edgy or even hyper in order to cut down teen crash risk. Teenage behavior was also backed up by the parental harmony and their attitude and love towards their children.

Most kids with parents who were appreciative and understanding were more level headed and ran lesser risk of crashing than those with estranged or non communicative parents. In fact parental behavior to the kids became one of the main issues why kids crashed or why they would not. A healthy communication with parents meant that they were more at ease with themselves and felt accepted. This way they were surer of themselves on the road.
