Gas is a common issue which each one of us had faced every second day. In America, every 3rd person faces this problem of stomach gas. It is an outcome of our unhealthy eating habits and fast lifestyle. It can be painful but can be cured and even avoided using simple, homely techniques. No doctor or medicines are required to cure it.

There are many home remedies that can help you to relieve the gas and ease the stomach. In thecase of gas accumulation, one feels completely uneasy, and it can also lead to some other serious complications too. Hence to avoid such health issues just try these home remedies to get rid of gas and bloating.

  1. Massage – One of the easiest home remedy which does not allow theuse of any natural product or herbal leaves is massage. Strange but true. Massage can also cure gas issues and helps our abdomen to pass out gas through afart. Patient must lightly massage his/her lower abdomen and stomach using his/her fingers. Patient must do this either by standing or by lying flat on theground. Sitting would just multiply the pain as gas would find a way to pass out. By daily performing, this activity for 10-15 minutes will help us to avoid gas and bloating.
  2. Mint Tea – Mint tea is very useful and helps in improving digestion. It actually has a soothing effect on our stomach and helps to get rid of theheat generated by gas in our stomach. It’s this cooling property only helps the patients. Method to consume it is quite simple. One must dry mint leaves and make a powder of them. Boil few cups of water and add this mind leaves powder in boiling water. Then remove from flame and let it cool down. Strain the water and drink few cups of this mint tea on a daily basis to avoid gas and bloating.
  3. Buttermilk– A North Indian drink that is known for soothing in scorching heat is Buttermilk. But many of us are unaware of the fact that Buttermilk also soothes a patient from gas issues. It is a herbal product and also helps our skin to glow. We just need to prepare buttermilk in a blender. Make a mixture of Carom seeds and sea salt, taking 1 spoon of each and add to the buttermilk. If you face any problem having carom seeds, you may use celery seeds as its replacement. Blend it again and drink. Relief can be expected if consumed twice a day.

Gas is not a major problem and can be cured easily by just making few changes in our lifestyle. Add more physical activity to your routine. Use stairs as much as possible. Do power yoga daily. Start by practicing 10 minutes a day and then gradually increase the time. You need to intake at least 8 glasses of water daily so that no water retention occurs. Also if you are a smoker then quit smoking as it leads to gas.
