Number of studies have concluded that the number of accidents and acute attacks of diseases have significantly increased, in this current economic gloom. But situation is getting worse even in the hospital emergencies and emergency departments as there is not plenty of space to treat such crowd of patients.

Since 1960 the needs of emergency care was on the boost and due to increased funding the new emergencies were opened to preserve emergency care. The measures were taken as the cases of emergency were becoming hard to treat in U.S.

According to the recent survey number of almost 12 percent emergencies have closed and the patients seeking for the emergency treatment are increasing with each passing day. the closure of emergency departments, whatever the reason, not only increasing pain and difficulties of the patients but also leaving no choice behind. That is why people after their lost jobs are more frustrated with the attitude of the health department.

A recent study reveled that more than 80,000 patients wait more than eight hours for the treatment or see the specialist. Patients with special tests or surgery face up to weeks of wait for their treatment. Thought the private clinics are one of the alternatives with quality treatment but the cost of treatment and medication is too high that most of the people can’t afford it.

For the majority of patients doctors of emergency room use the same kind of pain killer instead of the proper treatment as patients expect that the treatment would provide them a quick relief.  Though the new techniques have been developed which prevent the surgeries and associated infections but it requires the specialist, space and funds. The community of doctors is putting some effort to stop the further closure of the emergency rooms and anticipated many suggestions. Now they are looking at the government to take bold step and increase funding to overcome the problem.
