The new egg cells have been generate from ovarian stem cells of the female mice, that is an advanced step in the treatment of female infertility, Chinese researchers stated.

It is a common believe that the production of eggs, discontinue before the birth I most mammals including humans.

“The findings could help in the development of reproductive and regenerative medicines.” They described, some other scientist are also agreed with the study but according to them independent confirmation is required.

Scientist took the ovarian stem cell from the five-day-old and adult mice and cultured these cells for the six months.

According to the latest study, removing ovaries of women who happen to have a high risk of breast as well as ovarian cancer due to the mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes authentically reduces their risk of getting these both cancers.

Researchers carried out what’s known as the meta-analysis that combines the results of a series of studies and re-analyses them. Dr. Timothy Rebbeck, professor of epidemiology, who led the research at the University of Pennsylvania, observed the results of 10 such studies. The report was published in the January 13th issue of the Journal of National Cancer Institute. The risk reduction is pretty substantial but not as high as suggested in the previous studies.

ATLANTA – One in four teen girls have started the course of relatively new vaccine against cervical cancer, federal health officials said. The vaccine protects against viruses, which cause 70 percent of cervical cancer.

The large study represents the figure of vaccination rates for the Gardasil vaccine, manufactured and advertised by Merck Frosst, three-shot chain that targets the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV).

According to recommendation, girls should get the vaccine shots when they are 11 or 12, before sexual maturity.

For the results, researchers verified vaccination information through medical records of 3,000 girls ages 13 to 17. Of the girls in the survey, 25 percent had received at least one Gardasil shot.

“The shots could dramatically reduce the nearly 4,000 cervical cancer deaths that occur each year in the U.S.” vaccine proponents said.
