Four million Americans, in plenty of ways, receive professional help but the remaining 21.1 million Americans who need the treatment for dependence on illicit drugs or alcohol are still in need of treatment, according to the results of comprehensive study released by National Drug Control Policy on drug use in the U.S. Even worse, 95.5 percent of them are still not aware of the fact that they need professional help or don’t think they need a drug intervention, and have not required care from drug rehab facilities or health care professionals.

“These results are not surprising,” said Eric Mitchell, Founder of Drug Rehab Referral, a dedicated company, which helping people to find the right treatment for drug or alcohol addiction with respect to their situation. Intervention program are essential because majority of the addict people are distraught family members. Their families have suffered through years of watching their loved ones ruin their lives and their livelihood. They’ve tried to convince them that they have a problem and need help, but are continually met with resistance.

Many people do not understand why individuals become addicted to drugs or how drugs change the brain to promote irrational drug abuse. They consider drug abuse and addiction as strictly a social evil and may characterize those who take drugs as morally weak.

One school of thought is that, drug abusers should be able to just stop taking drugs if they are only willing to change their behavior. What people misjudge is the complexity of drug addiction. It is a disease that affects the brain and due to this reason, stopping drug abuse is not simply a matter of willpower.

The general intention of drug rehab is to facilitate the patient to cease substance abuse and successful treatment for restoration of productive lives by using scientific techniques.

Addiction is a chronic condition, often relapsing brain disease that causes compulsive drug seeking and use, despite harmful consequences to the individual that is addicted and to those around them. Drug addiction is a brain disease because the drug abuse brings structural and functional changes in it.

NEW YORK – Scientists announced this week, a new report which evidence that, a little amount of the chemical “bisphenol A” (BPA), largely used to make plastic food and drinking containers, can harm brain function in higher creatures such as monkey or human , expanding the findings of prior research conducted in rats.

Whether the quantity of BPA that leaches into food and beverages through container, represents an environmental risk is a subject of argument.

WASHINGTON — New research suggests student athletes who are too active, not just on the field, but every filed of life may delay their recovery. However female athletes may take more time to recover than males. It is an important message for parents and coaches of sports that healing from this common sports injury is more complicated.

Kevin Guskiewicz, an athletic trainer advises” No two concussions are the same, we need to be cautious with what we’re allowing someone to do, and at what point in their recovery they’re allowed to do it.”

Many athletes never lose consciousness, the most have symptom. Brain scans can’t diagnose a concussion and other symptoms not always apparent
Immediately and sometimes players can hide or diminish them: “Nope, no headaches, coach; put me back in.”

If one do so it is a serious risk. A second concussion before recovering from the first can cause brain swelling that can activate enduring damage and even death.
